Wendy Liu

About

Wendy is an associate lawyer practicing in all areas of family law. She is a dedicated advocate and is committed to helping clients navigate the various issues that arise in family law matters with empathy and understanding. Recognizing the emotional and legal complexities in family matters, Wendy takes a detailed-orientated approach to each case, ensuring that clients are well informed to make decisions that are in their best interests, and the best interests of their families. Wendy earned her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Durham University in England. After returning to Canada, she completed her articles at XS Law, gaining experience in real estate law, civil litigation, and family law before being admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2025. Since her call, Wendy has practiced exclusively in family law, assisting clients with a wide range of complex legal issues. She is also currently completing her LL.M. in Taxation Law at York University, further strengthening her ability to navigate the financial and tax considerations that frequently arise in family law matters.

While at Durham, Wendy co-founded the Family Law Network as part of the Durham University Pro Bono Society, which hosted events for law students and the wider community to learn more about issues and updates in family law.

Outside of the office and court, Wendy enjoys baking, knitting, and spending time with family and friends.
